The Bartonian is presented to adult volunteers who dedicate themselves to service & support of Camp Barton and its operations for Scouting & the Community.

The Bartonian serves as a symbol of one’s commitment to the foundation Camp Barton provides to outdoor youth education, character development, and experienced based opportunity.

​

Bartonian recipients commit their time and expertise to any or all of the five (5) categories of service. Each category is defined by its own time commitment, and its distinguishable contributions.

​

Each category of service maintains its own unique standard of service and requirements for participants to attain.

​

The Bartonian Patch pays tribute to the Camp Barton participant patch used in the mid-late 1960’s.

​

Each category of service is represented by a strip segment of which, once achieved, is placed within Bartonian base patch, as shown above. The Bartonian can then be proudly displayed on the Scout Class A/Field  uniform Lower Left Pocket.

The Bartonian Award Program is sponsored & awarded by the Camp Barton Staff Alumni Association.
